Especially for new investors, there are many things that we learn through reading books and articles on real estate as well as attending real estate investing seminars. Many of the seminars that I have attended have stressed the importance of finding a motivated seller, the importance of having the right clauses in a contract, how to estimate repair cost, how to estimate the value of a house, the importance of knowing the statistics about your farm area among many other interesting topics. All of these items are extremely important but we also need something else.
The something that I am referring to is CONFIDENCE.
Webster's definition of confidence is one's belief in their own abilities. We must have confidence in ourselves before we can expect other's to have the confidence to want to do business with us. If there is something that we don't know, there is nothing wrong with admitting to that as long as we state that we will find out the answer. Please remember, there is NO one who knows EVERYTHING.
One major key to success whether it's real estate or another business, is the belief in ourselves. Just know that if we take our craft seriously, work hard, be persistent and truly believe that we can accomplish anything that we put our mind to, we will be successful. This message is one that I felt I needed to write especially to new investors. Whenever roadblocks arise, go around them, whenever we fall down, get up, whenever we stumble, straighten up, walk with dignity move on with confidence and we will discover success.
