I use photos and sometimes videos in all my online marketing. It's a must. I'm surprised that some Realtors and Investors still don't use photos in their marketing. That may make sense if you're marketing simple generic items, such as a soccer ball. Houses are a whole different animal.

On sites, such as Craigslist, viewers can select listings that only contain photos, so if you don't have any, guess what? Your listing won't even show up in the search. It's kind of tough to sell a house on Craigslist, if your listing doesn't get viewed.

Once I have my photos, the first thing I want to do is e-mail my buyers lists. I use Constant Contact for that. It's a great service and is free for the first 60 days for lists of 100 contacts or less. I used to import pictures into Constant Contact, but with the basic $15/mo. subscription, I can only keep 5 photos at any time.

I found a great way around that. BiggerPockets allows you to upload boatloads of photos into photo galleries. It's simple to use and works great. You create the gallery and save it. Then you go back to your profile and click on "My Photos". Then click on "Add Photos" on the same line as your gallery. Once the gallery is saved with all the photos, I click on the gallery name I want to use in my ads and e-mail marketing pieces. Then I copy the URL link in the browser address window and paste it in my pieces. Next to the link in my marketing pieces, I'll add something like, "Click on this link to see all my photos".

When prospective buyers click on the photos link, they'll see my gallery. On top of that, BiggerPockets gets looked at. They'll see what a cool site BiggerPockets is. When people are done looking at my photos, they can also click on my profile link and find out more about me.

After I send e-mails to my peeps on my buyers lists, I prepare a really nice ad on Postlets. Postlets is also limited as to the number of photos I use, so I add my BiggerPockets gallery link to my Postlets ad or the finished product, after I copy and paste it to my Craigslist and Backpage ads.
