Things to do in Perry Georgia: 24th Annual Perry Dogwood Festival

What better way to spend a beautiful middle Georgia spring weekend than at the 24th annual Perry Dogwood Festival. This weekend, Carroll and Jernigan Streets in downtown Perry GA will be the place to be. FREE admission on both days too.

Clear your calendar on April 14th (10am-6pm) and 15th (noon-5pm) for arts and crafts, contests, food, local entertainment, and a bunch of other fun events.

Some of the featured highlights include:

• 5K road race ($20 registration)
• Pancake breakfast ($5 per plate)
• Performances by the Perry Idol finalists
• Motorcycle Poker Run ($30 per bike)
• Local entertainment
• A dessert contest ($5 entry)
• Softball tournament
• Kids rides
• Miss Dogwood Pageant
• Costumed dog parade

Nola Brantley Memorial Library Holiday Bash - 2011 Are the kids getting bored already waiting for Christmas to arrive? Maybe you need a few hours at the store to find that last minute gift? If so, the 2011 Nola Brantley Memorial Library Holiday Bash is the event you have been waiting for. Kids from ages 5-17 are covered, with 2 events scheduled for Tuesday, December 20th. First up at 4:30pm-5:30pm is story time, games, food, and face painting for ages 5-9. Starting at 6:00pm-7:30pm is a Wii game night for teens 10-17; food, drinks, and face painting will be available.
