When Choosing Thousand Oaks Real Estate As City Of Residence

Wednesday, November 02

The fact is, everyone have an ideal homes set in their minds, maybe one even among Thousand Oaks homes for sale or in Thousand Oaks real estate in California.  It may have been the greatest dream an individual or a family can ever make in their lifetime.  But sadly sometimes, dreams don’t come true or are not as ideal as the way we expected them to be.

Experts said that that not too long ago, buyers were more concerned with finding their dream homes and scouting for good locations is only a close second.   Those who followed this route were, unfortunately, in their worst nightmares, and even admitted that they should had taken the road less traveled then instead.   Fortunately, many home buyers are now much wiser and have learned a thing or two about these experiences.   They concluded that sometimes it’s not in the house you choose, it is the place where you want to live in – diverse yet progressive, vibrant yet equally peaceful, and which embraces fun and excitement.  Ideal homes are more often than not, found in this place, like in Thousand Oaks for example.

It’s understandable that the foremost concern of parents when looking for locations of next residence is if the neighborhood has reputable schools to boot.  The presence of a good school district means that the community has high regard for its residents, especially the youth.  Thousand Oaks is served by the Conejo Valley Unified School District.  It boasts of quality elementary and high schools.

Of course another consideration is the accessibility or mode of transportation in the area.  The city lies in the heart of the Conejo Valley, which is served by US Route 101 (Ventura Freeway), as well as State Route 23.  Likewise, Thousand Oaks Transit (TOT) provides public transportation in the form of shuttles and buses.  TOT buses service the city’s residents as well as neighboring communities.  The city boasts many amenities that other similar-sized cities lack of; among these is a regional transportation center.  The new facility offers bus and shuttle lines to Los Angeles, Oxnard, Ventura, Moorpark, Simi Valley, and Santa Barbara via the VISTA, Metro, and LADOT Commuter Express bus lines.

Being in a safe neighborhood is another factor.   Again, who would not want to be safe in their homes, lest, in their own communities?  You can go online and research on community profiles, or better yet, go directly to the police department or local government office to get this kind of information.  Observe the people, better yet, talk to the locals for their culture, their standard of living, and if they are contented or satisfied living there.

So, where should just be your dream home?  It should be in a safe and secure neighborhood with good schools, with a culture you can adapt to, with a thriving economy, and most importantly, where you and your children can have fun and grow as individuals and as a family.  The house you purchase may not be what you dreamed of, but living in an admirable neighborhood admirable is rewarding in itself.

Why Buying A House Is Still A Wise Move

Thursday, June 02

With the real estate market still limping from a debilitating fall, people are still half-hearted to ease that up and lay out their investments.  This is just a reasonable sentiment, as buying a house is both a serious and financially stricken matter.  But there .  Experts say don’t wait for the market to improve, or else, your negotiating power will dwindle.  Here are a few reasons why you should start chasing your dream to become a home owner and shoo those fears and uncertainties away, and in Thousand Oaks real estate perhaps?  (You can start your search and research about the place online and/or through real estate listings like Thousand Oaks MLS).

There’s an overflowing homes and properties for sale in the housing market -  There are millions awaiting for owners and to be purchased, and most of these can still be negotiated with the sellers!  When some homes for sale sit idly for quite some time in the market, sellers end up lowering their prices.  Still, home buyers ought to be careful with their choices as other areas still have stable and high house prices; but generally, it’s a buyer’s market, as the residential market is still in its gloomy state.  And you might come out luckier, as some sellers share closing costs, give some of the house’s tangibles (i.e. furniture or fixtures), that is, if the offering price is reasonable enough.

Mortgage rates are surprisingly on the low as well – Rates have been relatively low for the past two years, but this does not mean lenders are just that easy in giving out loans to every home buyer.  Those with bad credit have to improve that three-digit number; while those with good credit standing may qualify, if they’re that serious and tedious attending to lenders’ requirements.

Purchasing a home is still the most wanted and stable investment -  According to key results of the Fannie Mae Survey on National Housing, “seven out of ten respondents (70 percent) said they believe buying a home continues to be one of the safest investments available.  This compares to 74 percent who think putting money into a bank account (money market or savings account) is safe.  In contrast, only 17 percent believe buying stocks is a safe investment.”

“Nearly two-thirds of respondents (64 percent) think it is a good time to buy a house, and nearly one in three (31 percent) think now is a very good time to buy a house.  This is nearly as many who said it was a good time to buy in 2003 (66 percent), well before home prices peaked.”

Lastly, don’t wait too long -  If you’re interested in buying a house among Thousand Oaks homes for sale, as you want to experience first-hand that elusive quality of life many Americans are seeking in their respective locations.  Those qualities for a liveable life are here:  from economic growth and dependency, excellent schools, abundance of leisure and recreation activities within and near the neighborhood, equally competent healthcare facilities, and a relaxing environment.  Now that’s a quality life you deserve, isn’t it?
