5 Great Home Décor Ideas

Whether you are trying to make your home more appealing to potential home buyers or just enhance what you see every day, anyone can benefit from these budget friendly home décor ideas.

1.Lovely ideas for your home’s Foyer/Entry
This is the first place that everyone who enters your home will see, make it stand out by using these little tips:
a)    Don’t over clutter this area-keep it minimal
b)    Most entryways are small try adding a mirror or a collection of mirrors which will make it appear and feel larger
c)    Try using a bolder and brighter paint color in this area as well. This provides a warm welcome and can also make this area feel more open
d)    A small table with a fountain, candles or flowers is also very welcoming and calming

2.Beautifying Your Living Room
You can immediately make your Living Room or Family Room feel more open and add style by trying these simple tricks:
a)    Re-arrange your furniture around a focal point like the fireplace, accent wall, etc. This creates more of an open feel and draws attention to the beautiful place in the room.
b)    Accessorize!  Add colorful throw pillows, soft blankets, etc. to your furniture in the room, creating a calm and homey feel with a dash of color

This is a fun idea, choose the art projects your children have done that are more colorful and display them with a shadow box.  This is a wonderful priceless idea for honoring your child’s efforts and bringing a sense of family and love into your home!

Bring some nature into your home by using rocks, wood, seagrass, hemp or other natural material. Think texture, color and nature! There are plenty of great ideas for doing this online or in home décor magazines-but here are a few ideas to get you started:

a)    Check out your own backyard first and the entire family can help. You can find rocks, greenery, flowers, etc.
b)    Arrange what you and your family found in a decorative vase and place it on the kitchen table, coffee table or in a bedroom.
c)    Consider adding a small water fountain to tables in your home, these provide a feeling of calm and peace to any space you add them too.
