SOS - Save Our System

“The drainage is clogged, help!”

“What’s wrong with this faucet, it’s dripping?”

“Ewww, there's a bad smell in the toilet?”

These are just few complaints that we hear others are complaining. Having transferred into a new house, I am just lucky enough not to experience these complaints. But guess what, you are not alone and don’t worry these are some of the common plumbing problems found in houses. And so there’s no reason to panic.

Let me share some of the different scenarios and solutions that I’ve come across with the following websites:

All problems have corresponding solutions. Obviously the above situations will likely require a plumber, a highly skilled professional worker who installs and repairs pipes, fixture and other related water system problems in houses. It is possible that homeowners or even I could do the job of changing a pipe for example; however the majority of us were not trained to do so and therefore probably not competent. Yes, there are things that are better left with the professional plumbers.

We have to bear in mind that in choosing a plumber to handle plumbing problems in our house, we need plumbers who are insured and licensed to do the job properly. We also need to choose a service where we can rely on their response time and they are easy to get hold of. And a major point would be, we want to hear from them a genuine interest in solving our problem quickly. If they do not sound sincerely interested then move on. Ultimately, we want people that we can count on when something goes wrong and not just when everything in the house is good. A good plumber is like a good friend; one who is there when you need them. Who needs fair-weather friends?
