Small successes lead to bigger things...... I think

I wanted to update people on my activity over the last couple of weeks.

I have continued my research and become a little more familiar on how to make my way.  I invested in a course that pretty much explains all the different aspects of real estate and how each one fits different markets and different needs.

I went and bought an hp 12c calculator at the advice of a friend who is a successful REI.  I started my own LLC which was exciting to me since I have never owned my own company before.

I wrote my personal success plan.

I went and looked at a few properties and even made an offer on one!  IT was scary and I had no idea what I was doing but I wanted to try it and see how it felt.  Everyone needs a little practice after all.

I also attended a foreclosure auction which was very interesting and I met a few people who are willing to help and may even become a part of my team eventually.

I also met a woman who, like me, was completely new to real estate but started doing exactly what I am doing about two and a half months ago.  She since has quit her job and was just flying to vegas to meet with a team of investors to look at a huge commercial deal in Florida.  That, to me, was encouraging.

i am getting very excited having a great time and finally found an investors club in my town that I immediately joined!  In the middle of all that I took two weeks of vacation so I have been a busy boy.

The good news is I am taking action, making progress and will refuse to give up.

Hope this blog encourages someone out there!

Stay positive and use your dreams and goals as your motivation.

See ya!

  2. Thanks for doing this Jeff G. I think the more we write about each little success, the more motivated we become. We kinda "bask in it" as we write, proofread, etc. Then we find another one similar, like I just found yours, and it motivates us even more, knowing we're not along in our newbie-hood. Good luck and keep writing :)

  3. Keep pushing Jeff! It's great to blog because you can come back and read your writings when you lose motivation. This post is sure to pump you up.

  4. Sounds like you are getting started. One of the first things you want to learn is how best to perform your due diligence on a perspective property. Part of your due diligence is looking at the numbers to insure that the deal make sense. You will have to determine what works for you. I would suggest that the numbers are not the only issue when doing your due diligence though.

  5. Keep at it and good things will follow.
