Phoenix Real Estate Market Update September 2014

Whether you're actively involved in real estate investments in Arizona or not, we tend to be scrutinized because of our quickly-moving market.

As of late, the trend has been very underwhelming, in terms of appreciation. The jumps we saw 2011-2012 are replaced with less drastic changes, waiting for first time home buyers to pick up the pace.

If you're wondering if the Phoenix-metro market is still a good place to invest, the answer is, "it depends." The rental market here is especially strong, given the amount of younger people that don't/can't buy quite yet, previous homeowners that went through foreclosure/short sale, and tighter lending practices that leave a population of people wanting, but unable to buy right now. Therefore, if you can find inexpensive property, rental rates are quite robust and most investors are holding on to capture the cash flow.
