It does take a little skill and that's what I have - a LITTLE skill!!! LOL! I learned it on my own. I just googled "laying carpet" and read the articles I found. What's the worst that could happen? You might do an imperfect job the first few times in your rental - BIG DEAL!!! (it's only a rental) Jon - my 3 bedroom rentals run from $525 per month to $700. This is a 3/1 with no garage and no frills, in a blue collar neighborhood. It rents for $525. It was a cheap berber. Pad, carpet, and install $685. I thought that was reasonable. Especially since I was pushed for time to get it done, I wanted to get it rented. It saved me another full days work, and when your doing EVERYTHING else yourself, a little assistance is welcomed. I didn't mind spending the money.
