11.26.14 Thanksgiving Reflections
On Thanksgiving weekend and every day, I have so much to be thankful for:
- Accumulating $100 in royalty payments on my e-book. Not making me rich, but a steady stream of passive income to help me splurge on real estate books I’d like to read.
- Security. One of our tenants was robbed this month. We were in the same situation a few years ago, but for the most part our financial resources provide us safety and security, something to be very thankful for.
- A drama free life. Our teen daughter has a flair for the dramatic, but even that is nothing compared to the stuff our tenants go through. This month Bruce got a subpoena – relating to our tenants, not ourselves. Thankful for an uncomplicated lifestyle.
- Bruce. We may not always see eye to eye on how to manage the details of the rentals, but he is such a blessing to our tenants, our kids, and to me.

Was the subpoena related to taxes?

Dawn, it was for applicant/income info for a tenant, see the thread here:

We ended up turning over the information as requested.
