Good Friday Volunteerism

My role in making Felicia's dream a reality:

• Approached co-workers to donate food items
• Trip to Costco (hour drive) for a cart full of food items
• Put door hangers up on the block my church has adopted to make sure residents were aware they could sign up
• Met at the community center tonight to help pack 40+ boxes for families ranging from 1 to 15 people.  I had plenty of rolls to divvy out, after weeding out all the expired food that had been donated.

Could I have done more?  Absolutely!  Was this enough to bless some people?  Absolutely.  Does it improve the quality of our rentals?  Hard to say, but it may help some low income families come closer to making rent.
