A Blissfully Quiet Few Weeks

Took a week off the blog, last weekend we were having family time in Seattle. Life is good.

I was listening to the BiggerPockets podcast with Chris Clothier this morning. He says several times that a consistent investment of an hour of time on BiggerPockets each day is a great way to grow in real estate. I would also say that a consistent investment of 15 minutes on BiggerPockets each day is a great way to maintain presence in real estate. In a few years we may want to start doing deals again, and I think the few minutes a day I spend on BP could be a big benefit. I’m building a brand, in a low key way.

I have been too tired to read very much lately, I’m working on the classic Prince of Tides rather than real estate books. But Al Williamson contacted me on BP this week to get my address to send me a copy of his new book to review. Looking forward to that read!

I’ve mentioned before that my church and I have adopted a block. It is not a block we own property on, but it is in the same low income neighborhood. Last night we took two folding tables, three flats of annuals, and a simple craft project and had a fun little mini-event on the block. Blessed that our Northwest weather cooperated; our only good weather day this week.

All May rent money came in with no drama. Life is good.
