I am not sure if I mentioned it in any of the Forums, but I work for 7-Eleven on a Graveyard Shift (ugh, shudders). In the neighborhood where I work at I have my regulars that come in as well as quite a few doozies. But there are a couple of regulars that have decided to become Real Estate Investors. Now me I am trying my dangest to get this business running at full speed, I gave myself at the maximum of 4 months to go full speed so I can cut back on my hours at 7-Eleven. Not going to quit, the owner is a very nice young man and seeing I don't have a car or even drive because of my License (its both suspended and expired) he knows I have no choice but to walk to work, it takes me close to an hour to walk there, he gave me a bike so I can use it to come to work, and its not a bad looking bike. But I digress, as I was saying I have a couple of regulars that have been coming in and of course they see I am a bit tired, now seeing I work the Graveyard shift they assumed it was because of that, so I told them nope, its because of my other business, which is this, Real Estate Investments. I am working on closing my first deal, with little help as well as studying. Both of them of course when they find out I am also a Real Estate Investor decide they are going to pick my brain, lol, asking me all kinds of questions about Real Estate Investments. Well guess what, I didn't think I was the right person to answer any of their questions, now if they had ask me in the mid to late 90's I could answer their questions, but today? I didn't feel I knew enough, even though I study as much as I can, I still didn't think I knew enough. So I steered them to what I think is the best place to answer their questions, here at Bigger Pockets. All you guys rock, one of the investors here is also helping me get a contract straighten out and helping me work on a double close. Any other investor that is not here has basically either tried to charge me $500 or better to just Mentor me, or told me that I need to get my ducks in a row before they even consider helping me, sigh, what can I say lol.... But all the people here rock, even when I ask really stupid questions. So thank you Bigger Pockets, all of you guys are Super Stars in my book.

  1. Thanks Richard.  We appreciate the referrals. You guys should create a little focus group where you can help one another out. What better than a company real estate club where you can talk shop?!?
