If yes, then this blog is a must read for you! In this blog we’ll be sharing with you some awesome tips on how you can boost your rental cash flows.

Tips to Increase Cash-Flow on Rentals

1.When Buying a Property, Make Sure it is Located in a City that either Economically Developed or Developing

People are relocating across the US to places that are more economically developed or developing and offer plenty of job opportunities. Therefore, when buying a property, make sure the city is economically sound and offers abundant job opportunities.

Also, make sure the area has facilities like hospital, offices, parks and schools nearby. Such places appeal to tenants and you can justify yourself when asking for a high rent.

2.Renovate to Increase Home Value

Another way to boost your rental cash flow is through renovation. Renovations can increase your home’s curb appeal. Now this does not mean that you have to break the bank and make costly renovations. Even simple and low cost home improvements can do the job. By focusing on little things like trimming the grass, cleaning the pool, fixing the damaged roof, and replacing the missing shingles, you can easily increase your home’s curb appeal and ask for a higher rent.

3.Build a Garden, Pool or a Patio

Another way to increase your property rent is to build value adding features. For example, if your property has enough space for a pool, you can get it built or you can also build a patio. These additions can easily shoot up your property value.

4.Take the Green Approach

Using eco-friendly products in your property is another way to boost your home value and cash flow on rental. When it comes to home purchasing, both buyers and tenants in the US are now seeking for energy efficient homes, which is why taking the green approach is a great idea. Today, energy efficient homes have become the first choice of preference among tenants and home buyers because such homes offer noteworthy energy savings and reduction in utility bills.

To increase your property value and cash flow on rent, here are some energy efficient features that you can incorporate in your home:

  • LED Lighting is a great energy efficient alternative to incandescent light bulbs
  • You can install insulation heating system in your home to boost increase its rent. This energy efficient feature is a great addition especially is your rental property is located in one of the coldest cities in the US like Denver, Kansas or Boston.

  1. "3.Build a Garden, Pool or a Patio" This can help for sure. In fact, I've noticed that little things like shutters, window boxes, bushes and flowers in the front, etc. can add a lot especially given the cost.
