REO Closing Communication

Ok, I was going to write about the slowness of the Auction House and Bank in accepting my offer and providing notification, but what is on my heart and mind right now is the LACK OF COMMUNICATION by the reo closing coordinator.  So, I have emailed the closing coordinator several times over the last month asking when the closing will take place.  He tells me in a couple of weeks. I advise that I will be out of the country for a week, so we would prefer the closing take place before I leave, if possible; or it would need to be when I return. He says ok...  "I will let you know"... I follow-up before I leave to get a status, and he states that it may be the following week after I return, and he would contact me later in the week I will be gone to schedule.  So, I think, no worries, email is international and as long as I have free wifi, I am good.

Needless to say, no dice on the notification to schedule the closing.  So, I email the coordinator today requesting status.  He tells me that " the contract expires on the 10/24 and he needs to get the HUD docs checked out... and we may be able to schedule closing for the 24th." What the !!??&@! What the heck has he been doing these last several weeks of me emailing and trying to get status?

So, I called this guy and was ready to rip him a new one... but before I could, the thought popped into my mind that doing so may not be very beneficial to my cause - I need the guy to do his job and not be pissed at me. As a result, I calmly discussed what he needed from me to push this closing to fruition; and settled on a date and time.  He is to follow-up with me on amount needed for closing... no chance, I will be bugging his a..
