What do Realtors do every day?

What a week it has been! I feel like I am at the point where I need to hire more help, I have just finished working the 4th 13+ hour day in a row (Monday was only 11 hours) and still have a laundry list of things to do.

This week has been productive, ever wonder what a Realtor does every day?

I normally try to get to the office by 7:30am every day but sometimes I hit the snooze button a few too many times and end up there at 8:00am.

1. From 8am to 9am is my free time, I get my cup of coffee and review my check list for the day and that normally has 8-15 items that need to be done. After that I use the rest of the first hour to catch up on emails (I normally wake up to 20+ emails every morning) and catch up on paperwork then hop into the MLS and start looking for new deals.

2. From 9am to 11am are my times to make sales calls anything from following up with my investors to calling expired listings and FSBO's in my area, on the days I miss this 2 hours or don't finish the 2 hours my leads drop drastically. In two hours I normally can find 2-5 possible leads for my week and/or future dates down the road, I think even investors should have their phone time booked to be looking for possible deals.

3. From 11am - 12pm I will normally catch up with my partners and my assistant to make sure everything we are working on is going smooth.

4. 12pm Starts my appointments I normally will have anything from 2-8 hours of appointments booked every single day, anything from having lunch with an investor or client or partner, showing houses, listing appointments, showing vacant apartments or looking at potential deals.

At the end of the day after I have dinner and my kids and wife are off to bed I then normally will catch up on any of the other items on my list like more paperwork or emails (they never stop), I know of some agents that only work 5 hours a day and that's it but I don't know how I would ever get anything done.

I will have to write another post someday about the crazy things that can throw off my day that seem to come up almost every day, the one thing I love is the weekend I normally am the only person in the office when I go and there is minimal traffic for my driving.

A quick statistic I have put over 24,000 miles on my car from January 1 to November 7 of 2014.
