Work Hard, Play Hard

Hello World,

I just wanted to use this first post as a proclamation of my hopes and dreams; a vehicle to hopefully inspire myself to remain vigilant, determined, and unwavering in the face of adversity.  Being young, and somewhat inexperienced seems daunting to most, but I merely look at it as a challenge.  This is my time to shine, my time to lay the foundation for a successful future in the game of Life.

So what am I trying to achieve here exactly?  Well, it all starts with identifying how to motivate oneself.  I read an article once that stated: "Equally important is your ability to support yourself."  I took this to heart, and maybe it will serve me well in the coming days.

Here it goes:  "I want to be financially free and attain a lifestyle that allows me to help others and give back to a world I cherish so dearly.  I do not wish to be hindered by fear, anxiety, or other immaterial things.  I will become the master of my destiny through hard work and surround myself with like-minded individuals."  Sounds good to me.

I'm tired of being surrounded by the question, "Why?".  In the end I have to keep asking myself, "Why not?"  Focus is key, right?  Whether it's through Bigger Pockets or not, I will continue to give it my all.  Besides, what have I got to lose?

This may seem like a useless rant to some, but in reality this isn't really for anyone but myself.  "I blog so therefore I am...?"  Maybe that makes sense, somewhere, somehow.

  1. Hey Trapper, nice mission statement!  It's not a rant at all...I use it too.  You and I have had several talks over the past few months and you know I'm a firm believer that this all begins somewhere..."why not" here?  Ha, nice play on words?!  Anyways, just remember your financial freedom goal everytime you get tired or frustrated and it'll keep you going.  Good luck and let me know if you have any good deals coming up!

    1. I'm very grateful that we've been able to have those conversations. I look forward to learning from your experiences and suggestions. Thank you!

  2. Your post is not a rant at all...at least not in my opinion.

Sounds good to me.

The above mission statement is key. It gives you focus and holds you accountable. It puts it all out there to the world (this IS the internet you know).

Keep taking steps, small or big ones will eventually get there, this is not a race.

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words Tyrone.  It's good to know that there are others out there who share similar values & ideals.  Have a great week!
