Episode 9 - Movement

This will be my first and hopefully only late post. Reason being it's memorial weekend and I went with the family to the beach yesterday, on Sunday. It was a welcome break. I feel like I made some progress although it's hard to say since it might be busy work rather than actual work. The key for me currently is to make sure everything I do contribute to the 20% and not the 80%. Since time is in short supply at the moment.

However, even when my RE prelicensing class is over in a few weeks, time will still be very valuable. I guess time will tell (no pun intended) whether what I'm doing is contributing to the 20% activities or the 80% activities. So anyway, two major accomplishments this previous week has been the purchasing of a lead list and started building of a landing website page.

The costs were quite significant and hopefully over time, both activities will directly count toward the 20% of activities that will grow my business. Either way, I deemed it as a loss only if I never take any further action on these tools. All it takes is one lead and both marketing tools will have already paid for itself.

So that's pretty much it for the action front. I'm beginning to finish out my RE class and now that we're at the end I like the information a lot more. I also have been discovering a whole new different section of posts on BP and been absorbing it as much as I can. This upcoming week I should be finishing out scrubbing my lead lists and getting it ready. While waiting on my website being build I will have a lot of homework on designing my mailings.

The timing should work out OK. Once I recover from the spending I've done on the website and the leads list, I should have enough funding again to contribute to the mailing or at least the first cycle of it. Thereafter, every mailing should occur right on time as I am able to make some contribution toward marketing. We'll find out I guess.

Well, other than that, that's all I have for this week. One thing I like very much to recommend is the book “Spin Selling”. It's an older book and pretty much has nothing to with RE investing. However, it's selling concepts and theories are backed up by research and is very fun to read. I'm still reading it so maybe I should wait to recommend it.

Everything you are doing is so foreign to me.  This whole lead thing is the last  thing I would ever do or want to do.   To me its only about looking at houses, buying, them and renovating them.  I only know BRRRR now.  The web site thing also confuse me.  I am very interested in  how you are doing this lead thing and how you ae doing this  Web thing so keep us informed step by step so we can learn from you and appreciate your approach,  Oh the real estate license course, well I fully derstand that and I think that has tremendous value.  Good luck on your journey.


    1. @Barbara Goodman, yeah I'm basically doing BRRR method, the only difference is that with "B" step, I'm just following well established methods to increase my "B" call ins so I can have more choices to choose from.

      Yeah, we'll to have wait to see how effective my methods are.
