So What's All This About?

Hello all!

First let me say 'Thanks for reading.'  Please check out my profile if you haven't yet.  That will give you the basics about me before you read what I intend with this blog.  It's okay - I'll wait.

Back?  Okay so I’ve decided I want to begin chronicling my startup adventures in real estate as a means to keep focused and to keep moving forward.  The next 6 to 12 months are likely to be bumpy ones since I am (likely) going to be laid off from my current job, will need to sell my house and also line up financing for a multifamily house that my wife and I and our 11 month old daughter can “house hack.”  And in between those things will be a bunch of others that have to be taken care of as well.  Should be fun...

If you are still wondering whether to commit to real estate investing, I hope my posts can shed some light on some things and help you decide if this kind of life is for you.  If you are an experienced investor or a heavyweight investor loaded down by all the money in your pockets, I would love it if you could see where I could improve my investing techniques and give me some FREE advice!  No complaints here.

If I am able to sell my current house and for how much…

If I decide to forgo getting another job and therefor say goodbye to conventional financing…

If my beautiful wife will take the plunge and become a real estate agent…

And so much more!

In closing, I will try my best to post things as they happen, but I can't at this time guarantee a posting schedule.  Real life just doesn't happen on a set timeline.  I'm learning that more and more as I try to get things rolling.  Things change and you have to adapt time and again.  Good news is though, if some time goes by and I know I haven't posted in a while, then I know that probably means I'm not moving as fast as I should.  It's nice to have a little extra built in accountability.
