Tools for the mobile warrior & real estate investor

This will allow me to respond to calls, look up property info, etc while on the road. Well, on the side of the road I mean :lol:
Having a mobile printer, will let me print out a new sales contract without having to drive back to my house or office if a correction is needed.

The other thing I might do is move my cell phone onto its own plan and get unlimited minutes.

Add in a virtual fax line / number so people can fax you doc's on the go.

Having the latest gadgets is fine BUT don't let that stop you. Remember executing the proper action is whats going to put money in your pocket.

I bought all the gadgets after I did my first deal.

But when I go to sellers house, all I have is the property folder and a Purchase and Sale Agreement, thats all you really need.

Jose - yes, I agree. That is a good point too and something that I plan on doing. The idea is to simply have these tools available in my vehicle, but when I go to see the seller, I will only have a plain vanilla folder and maybe a notebook and pen.

Waht does everyone use for mobile fax or virtual fax...this is the biggest problem I have run into...not having fax capability away from the office.

Also, what kind of "mobile printer" are we talking about here?

any thought?

try using the search there are 4-5 threads on which internet fax is good.....one just a few weeks ago.

Elliot - just google search for "mobile printer" and you should turn up plenty of results. Go to places like cnet.com or Amazon and read the reviews. Thats what Im doing. However, I will probably end up with on of the HP models. You can get car adapters that will let you power the printer from the cigarette lighter plug.

As for virtual fax, that is something I haven't even thought of until Scott M suggested it. I too would like to hear what others recommend.

MyFax is a pretty good service for receiving faxes to your email. They give you a fax number and the faxes show up as PDF files.

You can also fax documents out as well.

Are you planning to be doing some extended traveling? Sounds interesting.

With the various online fax services, how do you prevent spam faxes? What is to prevent the fax number you use to receive faxes from getting into the hands of spammers? Do you have some kind of option to see which fax you wish to receive?

I use Ring Central internet fax service. It's amazing. They also have a feature to stop spammers from faxing to you. I pay $9.99/month and it's worth every penny. I tried to get the seasoned agents in our office to switch but change is always HARD.
