I am a "short sale agent" in Minnesota who wants to break into the REO market. I am looking for advice/help on getting REO listings. The latest forum was over one year ago. Is BPO's still the way to go for contacts?

I am living in an REO now. I want to learn more about the short sale side. Do you have time this week to exchange information?
Karen I have several REO listings in MN, but the most need rehab, price is accordingly.

Keren:
Basically there are 3-4 major players in the reo market. reotrans now equator, *******, and resnet, and some would say reo world. There are a whole bunch of companies out there but you should stick with the big ones.
Ahmad's advice is spot on. Those are the big players in the field and establishing rapports with the AM's goes a long way towards establishing a long list of REO's on your portfolio. Good luck.
We should always remember to stick to the original idea of yes lets service a bpo and then hopefully pick up an reo. I have read a lot of agents saying that they will not pick up bpo's because they do not pay good enough. I would say its more like an interview.
Here are the links I thought it may help from the topic above
www.equator.com
www.*******.com
www.resnet.com
www.reoworld.com
and also not to forget www.farvv.com
Hopefully this helps.
