Getting Licensed in MD/VA/DC

I'm considering getting my real estate license in DC, but due to my schedule, taking an in-person 60 hour class would be nearly impossible for the next six months, and DC does not offer an online class.

However, MD and VA do offer online classes, and it seems that once licensed in either of those states, it's pretty simple to get licensed in DC. (I know there's an additional short class, and I assume I'd have to take the DC licensing exam.)

Could anyone with experience in the region speak to this? I just want to make sure that there's not some sort of rule that I'm missing where I'd have to be a Realtor for 2 years before being qualified or something like that. I probably wouldn't really practice in MD or VA. I'd just be looking to get licensed.
