First rent check!!! BOOM
A little background on me I recently bought a duplex and plan on living in one side and renting the other out. I hope to lower my expenses so I can further invest in real estate. I have been wanting to invest for a while now and things are finally coming together.
As of this week I signed up a tenant and collected my first rent check. I am currently sitting on the balcony of my apartment on its last day of lease. I will be moving into my new house tomorow. It is very comforting knowing that as the next month starts I will be freed of my rent payment. The rent check came in at $750 and will be able to pay PITI and utilities. I wouldn't consider myself a success yet but I am working on it :)
I need to thank @Bryce Y. and @Adam Roberts for mentoring me though the process and answering all my questions. Ive got my sights set to aquire one more property this year.
