We know about most of them and should have them fixed by Monday Night. That said, if you find something wrong here or elsewhere on the site, please let us know in this thread.

Josh! I'm loving this new forum! I saw this quick reply function on other forums and am so glad to see it here. Very nice work!

The layout on posts is sweet too.

FYI - when I hit the link for "HOME" at the top of this forum after making this post, I got a 500 internal server error.

Thanks Tim! I'm glad you like it! We definitely have some fixes to make (including the one you mention), and we'll tackle them ASAP!

We've been working for 20 hours straight now deploying/debugging and will have to take a break for a bit. We'll be back tomorrow in the late morning to finish up and to wrap it all up!

When I read the forums, I get the sidebar on the left, then the forums frame appears under the sidebar instead of to its right.

Hey Josh,

I like the new set up a lot also, looks better and is easier. Will the widget get worked out tonight? I'm a mac user and the BP one is by far the most used. It reads "An error occurred retrieving the feed." as of now.

Matt - The widget might be a few days . . . we're working on the speed issue that is slapping us in the face right now.

NOTE: If the site doesn't load for anyone, just reload and be patient and it should be there. We should have it all fixed ASAP.

Other than speed, most of our functionality is back up to pace. Thanks again for the patience.

Josh,

I too am having the issue when I hit quick reply or advanced, the menu to the left appears, but I have to scroll down under it to see the thread and reply box. It appears to be an issue with Internet Explorer as it doesn't happen with FireFox.

Another thing, suddenly my post count went up by 100 or so. When I look at the top posters I went from right about 800 to 889 or so. I also see I was 12th most poster now I am 13th?

I am not sure I like my name being all over and not my UserID as well. Not really a point in creating a userid if it isn't being shown, some of use like to have the BRAND it creates.

I know new released can be a hassle. I am sure you will get the bugs worked out. I look forward to it!

As I mentioned in my PM, thanks for the heads up on the IE issue. Every other browser works like a charm, but that IE is an evil one . . . we'll get it done!

As for USER IDs, we're going to give users the option to show their registered real name or their usernames across the forums. The feedback we got prior to the upgrade indicated that people would prefer a professional site where people were open with their identities, but feedback over the past day has been mixed. We figure that giving people the option to decide themselves would resolve the problem.

Thanks Andrew. The greatest fix, IMO, is that we don't have to sign in every day! That was one problem we couldn't fix, but with the new forums, is no longer an issue.

Hey Josh,

Anyone reported a problem with "View Posts since Last Visit"? Mine seems to always come up empty now and this is my favorite view for seeing the new stuff. Thanks and great job on the new forum!
