As you can see if you've been to our forum before, we just launched a drastic change to the look and feel. After years of having the same design, and a ton of feedback from our membership, we've reorganized how things are found on the forum.

Here's a list of the changes:

1 - We created new Sections called Categories that are color coded. Within each section are now sub-sections, and within those are individual forum categories.
2 - For each Section, we've added a navigation area on the left sidebar called Jump to Category, which will quickly take you to the section you seek.
3 - We've added a Popular Tags area in the left sidebar so members can quickly follow discussions under the tags they are interested in.
4 - We moved our Stats section to the left sidebar.
5 - We added a new search feature at the top of the forums.
6 - Added RSS buttons for the feeds of each forum category, so members can subscribe to those that interest them.
7 - On each individual forum category page, you can now see the description of that category so there is no confusion as to the purpose of that category.
8 - Moved the Related Topics to the bottom of the forum topics as requested by our members.

We've also sped up many pages and made many more fixes and changes. More to come, so stick around!

Gonna have to say... im not a fan... its to spaced out for my tastes.... but I will give it a shot... it may grow on me...

I just wanted everyone to know that there is a problem with the posts on the front page of the forum updating correctly. We will have it corrected tomorrow, when we'll be adding a few other treats.

I feel that the changes add to this already dynamic website, though I have not tried everything out yet. Josh, I really got to thank you, first of all for creating the site and continually striving to improve it and make it user friendly. Additionally for sacrificing your own endeavors to build this community for others. And finally, for giving me a place to learn, make contacts, and be given a tremendous opportunity to expand my real estate business. I will give a full report after I finish my test drive.

To the guys who said "spaced out," what does that mean?

josh, instead of lines of text stacked pretty tightly together, now each category occupies more room so you have to scroll down more to view multiple categories and it takes longer to locate a category. it's not at all what im used to on most of the forums i browse (mainly IT forums so I guess they're big on efficiency)

I like the general concept but am still don't like the spacing out of everything. I missed the quick links on the side the first time but I do like them now that I have used them and I like the genreal idea of where this is heading...

With that said however maybe if the sections themselves collapsed and when you did the quick link it would scroll to and open up the section...

Or Maybe I am just a bit of CAVE man (citizens against virtually everything) :-P

Ok so maybe this would work?

Instead of displaying the forum descriptions for each forum they could appear on only when rolled over by the mouse. Forgive my rough drawing here but this is what it may look like then....

Love all the other changes, not liking the forum layout, the "at a glance" concept has gone :(
