Hi,

I own seven mobile homes at the moment. Three of them are sold (fixing the other four at the moment). I have basic liability insurance thru Foremost and it is very expensive. What companies are you guys going thru to get liability insurance on mobile homes. All of the homes are between 20 to 35 years old.

I make the people purchasing my homes pay for the insurance and I'm sure any money I could save them would help them out tremendously.

If you can find anyone other than foremost who writes this, good luck. You're in Illinois though. Look up a Country Insurance agent and see what they can do for you. To get insured through Country Insurance, you have to become a member of the Illinois Farm Bureau (agent will do that for you) and they will set you up with Farm Bureau member's insurance.

American Modern may work. There are several companies out there that will insure mobile homes. The trick is when they are vacant or tenant occupied. Foremost is definitely an option. You may want to look at a commercial liabiilty policy that is one policy and covers liability for all of your properties.

I walked from Foremost, They are way to expensive. I have the company for you. When I am back at the home PC I will try and get there info for you.

I use Texas Farm Bureau for the one I live in. They were much cheaper than Foremost.

I've never found any insurance comnpany that will insure an older rented mobile home except for Foremost.

It might be possible to get owner -occupied elsewhere, but not insure a rental.

Country Companies (farm bureau) insures older mobiles, but they do it through Foremost.

My experience with Foremost is that they are very good about taking your money and not so good about giving it back if you are rude enough to actually have a claim.
