Austin, Texas floodplain properties

Hello Everybody,

Does anyone have any recent experience with getting a gas meter connected to a floodplain property that was red flagged/disconnected after the halloween flood back in 2013?

We are looking at acquiring a possible rental property in the Onion Creek area but the owner has had it disconnected since the flood. He mentioned his neighbors did not have any issues with this shortly after the flood, but he is not aware of the current situation regarding permitting and getting gas back and running.  I know these things tend to change at the city so I was hoping/wondering if anyone has had recent experience.

Also, I am heading to the city now to try and get some answers so if you guys aren't sure maybe I can help :)

Thanks all!
