Buying with a partnership: Chicken or the Egg?

Hey BP,

What are the differences when buying properties in a real estate vs. buying it on your own?

I've got experience going it alone, but I'm curious about the flow of events that take place from start to finish.

Some specific things I'm curious about include:

-When should you create and sign a partnership agreement?  Before making an offer?  After due diligence is complete?

-If you're planning on using an LLC segment a property, when does that occur in the flow of the deal process?

-Are there significant differences in the deal process when working with one or more partners?

I'm a big fan of teaching people to fish, instead of giving them fish.  If you've got a good resource for absorbing info about some of these specific questions, please share.

Thank you for your time.
