Steps to Leasing out Retail Space

I've only completed a few retail leases as a landlord, here's some leasing strategies I've employed, feel free to add if anything I haven't listed, anything I'm missing?

Steps to Lease Out Retail Space

1.  Physical Signage in front of the space
2.  List in all the Commercial listing sites, (Loopnet, Costar, CIMLS, Catalyst, etc.)
3.  Send marketing memorandum to Brokers/Tenant Reps, and offer up generous commission
4.  Send marketing memorandum to potential retailers, send every quarter as it remains vacant
5. List in classifieds , if the space is smaller and more geared towards mom and pops
6. Attend retail conventions (RECON) to pitch to potential tenants (haven't done myself, but I'd probably suggest doing so for more high profile locations)
7. Ask existing tenants in center to refer tenants for vacant space and offer a referral fee, if more geared towards mom and pops
