I am looking to buy some raw land. I want to know if there is a website where I can find out what parts of the country are hot for investment. I want to hold onto the property for a couple of years. How do I check the current trends and forecasts? Thanks!!!

I am a land Broker in Florida. My company works specifically in those General Development Communities throughout the state. Remember the "old Florida land scams" back in the 1960's? Well, these are those communities. Back then there was little to no interest, now there is a proven track record. One community we work in has 123,000 total platted lots, of which 80,000 are still vacant. We have a call center that contacts these land owners and procures lots at below market prices, then releases them to our investors.
Every decade some of these vast vacant lot communities experience a 2-3 year boom where lot prices go through the roof. After the boom the prices fall to a more affordable amount, but that price they fall to is still 128%-200% higher than the previous decades fall, or trough. We are opening the flood gates to our individual investors now since prices are very low ($20k or $220/mo if financed) so they can sit on them for most likely less than 5 years, but possibly as many as 10. We have spotted the trend and are taking full advantage of our knowledge. We have an online webinar where you can check out the opportunity and see if it is a fit for you. Please let me know if you are interested and I can set it up for you.

Hi - I suggest you look in your own back yard. Arizona is an excellent place to invest in land. If you live in AZ, you have seen what has happened to "outlying" land in the past 10 years. Buy where you know.

I purchased land 9 years ago for $67,000 - it's now worth about $700,000.

Good luck ...

Hello,

To be quite honest with you, you ask almsot any person who is experienced with Canadian Real Estate and they will tell you that during the summer, Alberta was a real hot market for Real Estate and land.

Edmonton especially (being it as the largest city in North America, with almost 1/4 undeveloped) and with alot of growing space left.

-Capital of Alberta
-One of the fastest growing cities in economic/industrial development
-Just north of Edmonton, are the oilsands (2nd largest oil region in the WORLD)
-From now till 2020, there will be billions of dollars invested into oil upgraders. (just imagine the oppurtunities in that)
-Home to University of Alberta (one of the top leading medical research universities in the world)
-Home to the largest mall in the world: West Edmonton Mall (www.wem.ca)
-Plus much more delights about this city that makes it a prospect to buy in.

Any questions, you can directly ask me through Private Message and i'd be gladly able to help you out in anyway!

Allen S.

I would recommend trying an area close to you. You'll want to be able to drive around, check places out and jump on a good deal when you see it. Learn the area and you'll see the trends on where people are wanting to buy and which way the "wave" is going. The best is outside of larger cities that are growing outward.

i'm a broker in the Philippines. One of the successful Deals i've made is the LAKESHORE-a residential community with man-made lake
(lakeshore.com.ph). All investor came here started with small project.
I have several small size rawland here if u do have excess money from land purchase we can developed it & move on retailing. the ROI IS ONLY
LESS THAN 1 YEAR after that profit will come.

I forgot to say how boomed our Real Estate Investment (REI) here in our place. Northern Philippines.

The southeast has been pretty hot in the past few years. Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina are experiencing increased land values.

hello,my name is Ron.May be I have what you are looking for.I have 1 acre of commercial land for sale.It is located in Alabama, town of Mc Intosh. It is probably the most prime location there, has 200 ft of hwy frontage. This is a very hot area now because of the new Still Mill comming just 8 miles away.plant name is Thussen Krupp,it is the biggest progect in US in last decade, you can find more info on internet about this. This area is fixing to explode.Pricing now is still reasonable, many investors already in the area looking for land, but most of the land for sale are big parsels.I think for somebody to hold this plot for two years is the way to go,probably by that time prices will go way up.they are building brand new drug store right across the street.

The original poster was asking for information, not for offers to sell him land. His post is almost two years old, and he only made two posts back then. Pretty sure he's not seeing any of your offers. If this thread actually had a good discussion of where to find land or where to find information about trends, I'd leave it open. As is, its just a place for a bunch of sales pitches, which are not allowed in this forum. There are specific forums where offers to sell land can be posted. Please post there. Thread locked.
