I think the best I have found are the local companies started by investors themselves because they know what it is we, as investors, are really looking for.

There are a few such local entities here in Chicagoland!

I didn't think County Records actually gave "Pre" NOD data info. I have some good friends that have been in the lead business for a number of years. They have true "Pre" NOD leads. Check them out: www.homesedo.com. I think they call them their "Loss Mitigation Leads". These are people who have gone to one of their sites to apply for a refinance, but have indicated on the form that they are behind on their mortgage, but an NOD has yet to be filed. They also have a site called www.loanmodificationleads.com. They're good guys - I'm not affiliated with them, so don't think I'm selling here - just want to give a plug when I think it's deserved.
