Investors, homeowners and anyone who has a soft spot for animals... I am thrilled to be able to announce this in the forums and invite you to read the full article that is now posted on the BiggerPockets RE News Blog...

I have started a website that I hope will ultimately lead to saving thousands of dogs, cats and other household animals that are or will be misplaced or abandoned because of foreclosures.

Announcing... Help Foreclosure Pets!

We will begin sending helpful information and pet placement options, directly to homeowners who are currently in foreclosure in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

It is my hope that the site will greatly reduce the number of pets that are dropped off at animal shelter and sadly, pets that are left behind to fend for themselves at what used to be "home" to them.

Thanks Josh. I have no idea what to expect with HFPs. It seems to be getting a lot of attention. Just hope my site building skills improve overnight.

And thank you as well Richard. By the way, I feel your pain on the article writers block. Happens to me a lot.
As for the rescue links & stuff like that..... I am AMAZED with how many groups, organizations, websites and the list goes on & on and on. Tons of them in Dallas alone. But, you are right. I need to get back on the site & do more data entry.

Do either of you know a good site builder who can help me out with an interactive message board similar to biggerpockets?

Also, you can try self-hosted word-press for the site and bbpress for interactive forum.

Might I suggest you also try to hook up with Care2.com to have them send out information for you. They are a political action group that is heavily populated by environmentalists and animal activists who will be very happy to get involved.

I would like to offer to open a Los Angeles/So. Cal branch of Help Foreclosure Pets here in Los Angeles.

I have been sick to my stomach over this serious problem and think what you are putting together is amazing.

Please allow me to be of service and head this project for you in Los Angeles. I have a huge network here in So. Cal and also know most of the other REIC owners. I can get this message spread very quickly here and get the L.A. operation running in no time a'tall.
