For professional property managers: who gets a 1099 at the end of the year?
I know contractors need a 1099 if they got paid at least $600. Do you send your investors a 1099? How about tenants? Anybody else?

I replied to your other post too...
What do you mean by... investors and tenants?
Investors you may have paid them interest?
Tenants? You paid then refunds of deposits?
P.S. I am not an accountant...
But I believe that 1099's are specifically for "income type" items... where someone earned money for providing a service or labor and taxes were not withheld...
For tenants... those are refunds (?) and are not "income" to the tenant...
For investors... that is mortgage interest (?) earned and that should be on a 1098 not a 1099.
1099 to my understanding is "Additional Income" that was earned (or in your case, that you paid to someone)...
P.S. There is a 9856 page manual at the IRS website at www.IRS.gov  Good luck!
Property owners that rent their properties to others should be aware of the coming paperwork burden imposed by tax law passes this year as it will soon affect them. They soon will have to gather tax id #s from their vendors and give them 1099 forms at the end of each year. Look at this link for further details.
