Who do you think is (or was) the greatest real estate investor of all times?
Who do you think is (or was) the greatest real estate investor of all times?
Thomas Jefferson. Louisiana purchase. Who else has done a deal of that size?
William H. Seward - purchased Alaska. That was a big one.
Charles Martel. He started land-based feudalism around 700 AD which is the basic structure of REI we use today.
Those are all very good but going back even further...
Alexander the Great
He acquired all the land in his known world at the time.
These are awesome. Lots of history to check out.... Any others?

My vote would be Job from the bible. He not only was the richest man in his time, but after losing everything through no fault of his own, he gained it all back!
The original rags to riches story - twice!
Mike
Donald Trump of course....
What other investor has his own vodka, TV show, and beauty pageant... lol!
Technically Mike, his wealth was in livestock and at the end of the book right before he rebuilt his livestock wealth again - gold rings. So Job was the greatest commodities investor of all time.
All good answers, but I'd have to go with the folks who bought Manhattan from the Indians
Matt,
I have to say my first response was to grab a flag and gun...lol...then I wikipedia'd him. He's certainly not what you'd expect from a typical member of the saudi royal family (he's not even saudi). Nothing like being the guy who bought Trump's yacht when he went bankrupt, then sold it back to him when he made his money back....lol I bet if more people in the middle east followed his example there would be a lot more East and West commerce and a lot less East and West conflict....
Yea most people think he was in the hamburger business. Years ago I read a book about Mcdonald's and it was fascinating.
Real estate investor who find good time, get more profit and run away at perfect strategy , little bit of luck for success in business so that is greatest real estate investor......
Thanks for read me.
Me. Atlantic City, New Jersey. I owned everything, including the railroads. Hotels everywhere. All commercial at the end. Numerous bank errors resulted in enormous windfalls. Crushed the competition. I was 5 years old.
Looks like the good Prince is telling Wall Street to F-Themselves...
