Get access to international investors by posting your deals on the Forum section of the Seoul Real Estate Investing Meetup's homepage:

(Go to the "Forum" tab)

Backstory

Earlier this year, a BiggerPockets blogger and turnkey specialist was a guest of the Seoul Real Estate Investing Meetup as a virtual speaker.

One of our members decided to invest with that turnkey specialist. That member will now introduce even more investors to the turnkey specialist! That's how it works in real estate - everything is very relationship-driven.

Access to our Members

The Seoul Real Estate Investing Members now has over 285 members. We are THE LARGEST real estate meetup in Korea (on meetup.com). We just launched our new homepage and I wanted to invite those interested in forming relationships with our members a chance to start NOW

The Forum Section

Our website has a free Forums section with a separate topic for US Investing. If you want to post, you can start to educate our members about YOUR MARKET and start to form relationships with our members. You can also post 'deals' in our Deals Forum.

IT'S 100% FREE. (For now)

What's in it for me?

I'm interested in having experienced investors / operators in the US start to post great content in our forums to help our investors learn about opportunities abroad. Part of our mission statement: Connect local area experts to investors worldwide. I believe that with the right team, a person can invest anywhere. On BP, we talk about out-of-state investing all the time - why not out-of-country? I did it last year and I know it can work. Several of our members own turnkey properties and other properties in the US while living and working in Korea.

I want our forums to help encourage those types of opportunities. While BP also does a great job with it's international forums, our forum can help you connect specifically with our group members.

THE BIG OPPORTUNITY

Our members are out here in Korea. We're isolated. We need good info. We need, above all, PEOPLE WE CAN TRUST on the ground. Here's your chance to start building that trust through your forum posts. By delivering value to our members first (or by posting deals), you're establishing trust. Once that trust is established, guess where the deal flow from our group will go?

Also, many of our members are Korean nationals. Korean investors tend to be very relationship focused. Meaning: If they find someone they like, they'll stick with them AND they'll tell their friends about them. I know this firsthand. I've been in the education market out here for the last 15 years and almost all of our customers are through referrals.

DON'T FORGET ABOUT CHINA & THE REST OF THE WORLD

This is not just about access to investors in Korea. This is about gaining international experience. If you can establish deal flow with our members, then how much easier will it be to find investors in other countries. How much more legitimate of an operator do you sound if you've already worked with internationals investors?

IT'S FREE.. FOR NOW

For now, it's free to post in our forums. You'll see the forum posts are wide-open and ready to accept new, interesting content.

HERE'S ME BEING TRANSPARENT: I'd like to first build forum content and help foster relationships, then we'll see about monetizing it later on. Again, I think there are inefficiencies in investing abroad that can be handled if we're able to connect people in a more meaningful way.

THAT'S IT

The BiggerPockets community has been instrumental in my own journey as a real estate investor as well as helping our community grow out here in Korea. I feel like having a forum for people to connect is the next logical step. I encourage all BP members to help us grow it with great forum content. Start to build relationships with those of living in Korea and I'm sure those relationships will pay off in the end for everyone.

(Just ask the turnkey operator who's now looking at multiple international deals from one meetup appearance!)
