Eviction Process - Rochester NY
Hi - in a different post, we shared names of local attorneys to assist with evictions, which got me thinking . . and since I'm in the middle of an eviction process (court tomorrow!) . . . I thought it might be worthwhile to kickstart a conversation from those who have gone before me with an eviction. I know each and every situation is unique, but I thought a bit of sharing might help educate many on the ins and outs of what happens with an eviction. I'm sure it's different in different towns, counties, states, etc - mine is in Rochester, NY - but what should I expect assuming i get a verdict in my favor? Should i get movers on call to help remove property? Do I need to get the sherriff involved? My tenant may up and move her own belongings in the middle of the night, which would be great, but what if she doesn't. What are the steps to force her out and reclaim my unit? Thanks everyone!
