Thank you to everyone who attended our last meetup. We meet every third Wednesday of the month at Round Table Pizza in Lake Forest. I will communicate with everyone via email if there are ever any changes. If you have not given me your email, but would like to stay informed, please send it to me.

Our meetings are very simple. We start with short introductions/questions and then use the rest of the time to network.

I've heard from a few new members here in southern California that said they're coming to the meetup. Better remind @Joe Homs as he forgot the last ones!

If you were at the Orange County Meetup tonight, will you please post here, so that I can get your names? There were a few of you that I didn't get a chance to meet, and would like to know your names, as would others. Also, what is the niche you're working? (flips, buy/hold, etc., and what areas)

I hope everyone enjoyed the meetup, an my apologies if I monopolized too much of the time. I just get carried away talking real estate!

Clint will be back next month.

Sorry for the late response @Karen Margrave

I am currently in the new commercial, industrial, healthcare development arena (engineering & construction), but am working on either partnering on a first flip in the OC or Redlands area.

The goal is to get more than 5 flips in 2015.
Longer term goals are acquiring mobile home parks.

See you guys in 2015!

@Joe Demonte You're definitely in one of the most complex arenas possible in your day job. If you can do that, the sky's the limit on REI. Just curious, with your knowledge of healthcare, have you ever considered investing in medical office space? Also, was it you that said they were looking at properties in Costa Mesa?

@Karen Margrave Thanks, I appreciate the encouraging words!

I have given it some thought, but after looking deeper into the different commercial sectors MHP just fit my investment and personality style more.
I do see how medical office space can be a very solid return if the right tenants are in there (Kaiser or similar). I am not sure how well the mom and pops of medical do since more and more smaller medical companies are finding it difficult to make as much as they would like in their practice.

I was looking for SFR in Costa Mesa, but not commercial so much.

Oh I wanted to suggest looking into REVIT for a design program if you are already using CAD. It is what the majority of the design industry is moving towards. REVIT stands for Revise Instantly. Great for Architects & Engineers.

BTW, what do you guys think of http://www.meetup.com/Orange-County-FIBI/

I'm thinking of checking out their next meetup.
