(b) Payment in Advance.--No credit repair organization may charge or receive any money or other valuable consideration for the performance of any service which the credit repair organization has agreed to perform for any consumer before such service is fully performed.
That's right, these services who claim to help you wipe out your history of not paying your debts must perform all services BEFORE they can require any kind of payment from you.
So, that means, you could (well, not really, cuz it doesn't work) use them to remove all that derogatory information and then just not pay them. Then when they turn it over to collections you could just use the next one out there. Hmmmm.
Hmmm, that's interesting because NCA has been doing this for over 3 years with ZERO complaints and ZERO lawsuits and services 3,000 - 6,000 clients per month. The founder is a former Equifax executive of over 20 years, so I think it's safe to assume he knows what he's doing AND obviously knows something you don't and the credit bureaus don't want you to find out, huh??!!
All I did was point out that by law these types of services are required to EXTEND CREDIT to their clients. The same clients they are trying to help hide the fact they have not paid their bills in the past. Now, if you can't see the ironic humor in that... well... then please just ignore my laughter.
I believe you have misinterpreted what you read, but you're entitled to your opinion, however, I suggest you go READ everything on their website, listen to the interview between the CEO & the Founder and listen to the testimonials before jumping on the "naysayer's bandwagon"...you might gain some insight into how they "utilize Unpublished Guidelines, Regulations and their Expertise and Insider Know How that no other law firm or credit repair company has access to".
And also (for the other poster above) why, when you consider the alternatives, $795 really ISN'T a lot of money compared to what you get in return.

Yeah try telling that to the millions of people who are struggling to squeeze out a dime these days
While you're looking for the proverbial "smoking gun" (which you won't ever find, btw), let me help you with a couple answers...
1. Since they are not a credit "repair" company, they're not violating that law you found.
2. The 3,000-6,000 new clients per month are paying a fee for credit "education" that you won't find ANYWHERE else and is not offered by ANY OTHER company - the credit "restoration" service they provide is free, so again, no laws are being violated.

What about this company? - http://www.myezcreditrepair.com Looks similar to me. Perhaps I am missing something?
Moderator note: No soliciation intended for the link. Only to compare services which a poster here claimed were not available ANYWHERE else.

There are literally thousands of credit "repair" companies out there and some may "appear" similar, but don't be fooled or deceived by mere appearances....if you will just go look at NCA's website, it's all there in plain english, but here's a couple of bullet points...in case you missed them...
• Removal of Negative and Derogatory Items!
All of our competitors (including Lexington Law) only write dispute letters which seldom have any effect and is something you, the consumer can do for free. We have proprietary information that lets us remove your negative and derogatory items.
• Permanent Deletion!
What could be better than knowing that once we remove the negative items from your credit reports they stay off forever. Unlike all of our competitors who only use the dispute letter process and if by chance they get lucky and get something removed then 9 times out of 10 it will go back on your credit reports within 30-60 days.
• Payout of $10,000!
If for any reason we cannot fix your credit like we say we can, you get $10,000 from us made payable to you. No fine print or strings attached. Compare that to all the other credit repair companies and law firms' guarantees.

Hope that helps satisfy your curiosity.
Uh huh, and all deductions on a tax return are "legit" until the audit.
I was never looking for a "smoking gun".
What first caught my attention was why would a California company not show up in the state of California corporation records and require all court actions take place in a county in GA yet not show up in GA corporation records?
What has satisfied my curiosity is tracking down the Tennessee company behind this MLM program.
Anyway, don't worry about it. Any writeup I do about this won't be on a public site like this. Since the members where I would publish something like this aren't likely to be considering a service like this, it would be of little more than passing interest to them; just like it was to me.
Oh come on...it can not stop now the silence is killing me. I am hearing nothing but a drum roll and waiting for the other shoe to drop. Taz, I want you on my team, good research. Gregory, You are pushing a product that has earned a bad rap. Like they say
" If it sounds to good to be true, it is!" Many people are scamming on the desperate these days.

Now you are making assumptions. I did go to the NCA website and I did read most of the content. It appears you did not go read the content on the site I referred to which is why you did not answer my question. I see your bullet points and the only one I can see that is not offered is the $10,000 gurantee. In their case it is 100% money back guarantee, which is good enough for me.
All I want to do, is get the facts on this. You appear to be "pushing" or "selling" the services and I am not. I am simply looking for acuarte and non-bias answers and it appears Taz has found some for us.

Come on guys, I'm sure he thought this was a great thing to offer to the public when he signed up. Not everyone does deep due diligence on things like this.
