New member from DFW

I ya'll. New to BP, and to RE investing. I've been working in IT for the last 20 years, and looking for a way to earn a more passive living. By passive, i don't mean without any work/effort, just something different than trading hours for $$. I have never done anything like this, so I'll be spending some time trying to learn before jumping in with both feet. I'd be very happy to talk to anyone in the DFW area that has any advise/pointers for me. At some point I'll probably be looking for a mentor as well.
