Hi all,

I am a new member from Sarasota, Florida. I started out flipping properties about 10 years ago. I ran into many sellers who were desperate to sell but didn't have enough equity to justify the risk so I became a Realtor in 2000.

I have rental properties but have not been flipping in Florida because prices have been falling so quickly that it has become a bit too risky. Once the bottom is set there will plenty of opportunities.

Hello Marc,
Welcome to Bigger Pockets. You are not likely to be at the bottom in most of Florida, IMHO. There does seem to be some success there flipping short sales and to a lesser extent REO's. I agree with you.....there will be opportunities! Keep looking for targets.

Although I live in WI, I do all my buying and selling in FL. I just moved from land only to now doing homes in the greater Fort Myers area.

It's hard to imagine prices getting much lower than they are here now.
