Getting Started -from New York
Hello BiggerPockets public,
My name is Chris. I'm a part time merchant specialist. My work is in research and co-ordinating deals and I collect a fee for productive work. I'm not too technical so I shine in analyzing existing resources and finding opportunity. It sounds very general but as a free agent, I get to work in different markets. I guess it's like bird-dogging but not limited to Real Estate.
Right now, this type of work is all I do(unless you have something for me). I'm in a very "all work and no play" type of situation right now. The work is my ticket out of the 9-5 and toward paying student debt. Once I get enough checks to hold me over, I'll take the money and time to focus on getting my degree and enjoying my life against the wishes of the evil Recession Monster.
I have no Real Estate Experience. I barely pay for rent. It's not a very pleasant experience. I don't think I'll be owning or managing property anytime soon.
But I do want to work WITH good honest people in the business. I have a couple deals I'm trying to get crackin' on but I either need more information or folks who have some wisdom on the subjects. I'm not very versed in real estate but I can be in a position to help others who are. And that is my principal intent on this website.
One of my cases has to do with people who buy and/or sell privately held notes. The other has to do with finding certain Piping Materials which I hope to locate through people involved in developing and contracting.
