Thanks Joel. I agree. I have been a passive member for long enough. Time to get out there and make some connections and ask some questions!
Hi @Brian Feltz, welcome to Bigger Pockets! I'm also in Milwaukee and there's quite a group of Milwaukee investors out there.
@Dawn A. Thank you! I'd really like to connect with as many other Milwaukee and Wisconsin investors as possible! You never know where the next deal will come from.
Welcome to BP Nation Brian, glad you finally decided to engage. Stay active on the site and ask questions.

Welcome , speaking on topic of wholesaling
Their plenty of threads on the topic here on biggerpockets and
next month local REI meeting will discuss this topic also, fyi
@Will Barnard Thank you. I plan on utilizing all the resources I can on Biggerpockets! The forums are great!
@Jenkins Ramon I really enjoy the Milwaukee REIA meetings! They are great for networking and very imformative! Plus, it helps get me out of my comfort zone and interacting with other fellow investors!
Also from Milwaukee. Just joined recently. 26 looking to buy my first rental property, more of buy & hold type deal.
@Erik Reichertz, Welcome! What is your criteria on the rental property you are looking for?
Me and my grandfather set up an LLC each put 30k for a total of 60k. Might put in a bit more depending on the property we find. Just looking for a decent property with some cash flow 200k-300k range. Might go a little higher or lower depending on what we find.
Come on in, the water's fine!
Welcome Brian.
When and where are the Milwaukee REIA meetings?
@Arnie Guida Thanks! The Milwaukee REIA meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Brookfield Suites. Look them up, Milwaukee REIA. They also have a real estate strategy and investing 101 meeting on the 4th Tuesday of every night at the same location. They are typically from 6-9pm. Dan and Eric, the founders are good guys and the people you will meet are all very helpful and accepting of investors at all levels!
Welcome Brian!
I do some rehabbing up in Milwaukee these days as well. What are the 4th Tuesday of the month "strategy" meetings about? I plan to be in town next week, and will likely be staying at the Brookfield Suites on Tuesday...so I'll likely be in the hotel during the REIA meeting.

@J Scott Ive actually followed some of your posts about your Milwaukee endevours! The strategy meetings are basically a Q&A session. People bounce ideas off of other investors and ask questions and share advise and information about the local market.
@Arnie Guida, also there breakfast meeting
on 3rd Wednesday of each month
Example, this week for breakfast meeting was about 50 individuals
One of conversations was about lease options here
in Milwaukee / Waukesha county
According to group of experts -> 20 percentage is the success
rate of lease options here locally ,, example
- A lot of lease options failing (here locally)
- down payments not covering damages
( when lessee -> do not renew lease option or purchase
- some our trashing the properties )
@Jenkins Ramon Thanks! I forgot about the breakfast meetings!
