I wanted to make sure everyone here saw this message, so I made it sticky.

1 - Off-Topic is currently the ONLY place where political discussion is appropriate. Any political chats should be placed in this forum.
2 - BiggerPockets doesn't censor political thought; we censor people breaking our rules.
3 - If you think the site has ANY partisan agenda, you're 100% wrong.
4 - If you're going to discuss politics, please do so without being nasty to others. You're welcome to disagree with people, but name-calling and being rude is unacceptable.
5 - Don't forget that this is a real estate site. Politics is cool to talk about, don't forget to get back to how to make money with real estate, guys!
6 - If you don't like the political talk, don't spend your time reading the political threads. Focus on the other 99% of the site content - real estate.

I think that about covers it.

And that includes vained attempts at humor on the political side like mine was. It only serves to upset people, like I found out.

We did just create a forum specifically for political discussion. All political chats should be held there.

I hope it's going to be heavily moderated because every forum I have ever visited that had a religious/politics forum,the forum ends up with nothing but arguments.

If McCain taught us anything, it's that politics and "moderation" don't mix...lol. As long as it doesn't turn to illegal threats upon a person, it's a good outlet for the knockdown drag-out fights and keeps it separate from the rest of the forum. It's the boxing ring. You box there, then enjoy the rest of life outside it.
