I checked the hours I put in - Full Time investor and Full Time Employee. I'm a workaholic.
I just returned to a full time J O B after 5 yrs of RE.
I did RE pimpin and loan origination for my day to day cash flow and grew my portfolio.
Now, I returned back to a day job back in Feb and am very glad I did. Feels like free money...I get paid every 2 weeks whether or not I perform well.
If/when my portfolio income becomes double what my salary is, I may decide to go back to a full time self employed status. Otherwise, leaching off somebody elses net worth is fine with me...
I am F/T flipper of vacant lots in TN & AR but not doing so well at the moment. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Im a F/T Investor I was a loan officer for the past 2 years.. Before I did that I was a handyman looking for a way to get into RE investing.. Bought books tapes when to seminars..you name it I did it however I was 20 yrs old at the time and did not have the confidence to go out and make deals happen.. So after I got tried of being a handyman I thought if I would get into Loans it maybe a ticket into RE investing..2yrs later I met an Investor that wanted to mentor me and here I am.. I have struggled for a long time and everyone around besides my family wants me to fail.. Now it's great because I am doing what I really enjoy..Its great.. I hope that I can meet some honest investors here and I know I will learn a lot more about RE investing as well....
Good Luck to Everyone

Full-time-- sometimes. I guess that makes it part-time? Before that, I worked as a nurse, then stayed home to raise the kids.
DH works in another industry which allows me to concentrate on the rehabbing stuff. Its the best of both worlds right now-- we have benefits and retirement, and I can grow the business. We plan to work on this together when DH retires. And DH works his backside off on the REI on his days off.
If we'd started younger, we probably would've done things differently.
