Whether you are new to Biggerpockets, or have been here a while, I'd like to suggest that whenever you have questions, do a SEARCH first, because more than likely it has been asked and answered many times before. If not .....

When you post:

  • Take the time to choose the correct forum to post in (Many forums such as Marketplace and Investor Deal Diaries instruct members on posting in them)
  • Make your subject line direct, and relevant to the post, that is what draws people in
  • Be specific, ask yourself, if you were reading would you know what the poster was wanting, or talking about?
  • Try to keep the posts short, sweet and to the point.
  • Many times people post new threads thinking it's the best way to be in the current mix of discussions. However; posting on an older thread revives that thread, and gets it going again.

The less time moderators have to spend moving posts to different categories the more time we have to answer posts. Ditto with the members, if they have to ask a lot of questions because you weren't specific on questions, it's unlikely they will answer your post.

Also, be sure to check out the Podcasts and Blogs for posts that address the subject.

Biggerpockets is a wealth of information, so DIG IN!!
