Yeah, nice site Josh, just means I need to be walking more and using my Segway less I guess.
Walk Score: 89 out of 100
Walk score was 32 out of 100. Not that we do much walking when its 110+ degrees!
8)
68 out of 100. Ditto what Richard said about 110 degrees, but it's a dry heat!
Well, I just get to walk to Wrigley Field, the lake, etc. Sometimes it gets hot here. This week mid-90s, but it for sure IS NOT dry heat. The humidity has been rough.
32...
I live on the side of a mountain, so I wonder if they take into account a brutal hill between me and Starbucks!
I got a 77. Must be flat midwest land that gets a higher read.
I get a 62. That seems strange, because its honestly not that short a walk to anything.
The place I looked at Friday as a fix-and-flip, roughly Sixth and Santa Fe for those who know Denver, gets an 82.
I stuck in one of our favorite vacation spots in Kona on the Big Island. Its only gets a 55. And yet the reason we like it is because we can walk to lots of stuff.
Go figure.
Yeah I just tried Munich, Germany which is tailor made for pedestrian traffic and it got a 66. No way anywhere in the midwest beats Munich. They need to perfect their system.
My address scored an 88.
Now, the flaw I see in my score is that it does not take into affect that I live 1.5 blocks away from a train stop that that heads right into the Loop (Chicago). That alone is the biggest walking benefit I have and cuts down on my car use.

That is a cool site but they don't count how safe the place is. I put in a slum prop. I had some years ago when I first started investing and got a 55. This place in flint michigan believe me is no 55. Unless it's 55% chance you are jumped, offered drugs or sollicited by a hooker.
Ooh, solicited by a Hooker, that might be a plus for some people! Ha. I mean some might just like being solicited by a female period!
Ha.
Talking to a chick might feel good, but the burning sensation that does not go away without the antibiotics or worse is what concerns me!
92, woot! Did I get the highest scores? That's what comes from LDS communities I guess...
My neighbourhood gets a 29. I'm not sure that I agree though - it's a 15 minute walk to the doctors, chemists, and a small supermarket. There's a Junior school just a few hundred meters away, and a pub not far from there. Oh, and a park 10 minutes away.
Granted that's all there is in the area, you have to use a car or public transport to get to other stuff, but I only 'leave the area' on weekends to meet friends.
My friend in El Dorado Hills, Ca got a ZERO--totally car-dependent. Now he knows why is gas bill is so high!
