This could be the second time in 4 years university of utah goes undefted! but still have no chance at a national title. What do you think about the current system?

I think that a playoff would be well warranted. However, we still would have the debates.

If you let in 8 teams for a playoff, the debate shifts from the who should be the 2 teams in the championship game to who is left at #9 and left out of the playoffs.

The issue is that there are some 130 or so schools I believe in Division 1, or is it the Bowl Series or some crap they are calling it.

Anyway, a major overhaul would be needed to clearly put in some sort of system. Schools are allowed to set their own schedules. Do you honestly think that Utah would be undefeated if it were in the SEC Conference and play Alabama, Tennesse, Florida and Georgia?

Probably not.

Who cares, PSU lost. (actual I do care a bit) I might add that they lost to an unranked team after the bozos decided to riot downtown after their toughest victory. Bad karma... perhaps, we started loosing all our games for the past 5 seasons, the losses started when the kids thought they would riot downtown to celebrate the win.

I don't think a play off schedule will happen in big time college football. To be honest the students couldn't handle it. The constant pressure for say a possible 5 weeks with media and practice could not be handled academics would not get done. I know it does on the lower levels but they are the lower levels.

As for Utah. A plus 1 system I feel should be used which would help them. Not really because they won't be able to beat the big guys. I don't want to knock you because I like Utah and was actually about to go there next year for graduate school until I found a program that fit me a little better. I goto Mizzou right now and am die-hard with college football so I watch TONS of it. There is no way ANY of these mid majors can beat the BCS teams and go undefeted. (Insert your Boise State Oklahoma argument here). Physically being at Mizzou playing Oklahoma State, Texas, and Oklahoma there is no way Utah could beat them. Possibly Okie state but not Texas or Oklahoma, nor could they beat Texas Tech.

I would love to see an upset, but it just won't happen my man. TCU and BYU are one thing the Tide and BCS are a whole other thing. Not to mention T-Town is only a 4 hour drive from New Orleans so it will be like a home game.
