Just read an article about a car worth millions being found in a garage in England, and it made me curious about what some of you may have found in properties purchased.

Had a buddy find a dead body and scream...only to take a second look at realize it was just a scarecrow...lol
Lots of clothes, furniture, art, cars, a long since spoiled butchered deer in a freezer that had been unplugged for about a year. I actually cleaned that out without puking my guts out. Family and long time friends couldn't believe I didn't get sick doing that.
I've made as much as $700 by yard saling "junk" I've found.
I've also found two handguns. One a cheap POS "Saturday Night Special" that looked like it would blow up in your hand. One was a decent .38.

Grossest thing I ever found were condom wrappers in the heat ducts, just below the registers. Talk about disgusting.
Nude picture of the previous owners. Actually, they left a DVD player, and while showing me the place demonstrated that it works . . . in the player was a personal DVD porno. You better believe that was an awkward moment!
I've also found drug paraphernalia, kegs, and things on stuff on the walls from someone's nose. NASTY!
People amaze me!

Bought a house at an estate sale. In addition to the junk that you might expect, there was an organ in perfect working condition. I think that the family found it to be too heavy to move. The simple solution was to call a music store that sold new and used pieces, they hauled it away and gave me a couple hundred dollars for it. I probably could have sold it for a lot more if I had wanted to bother.
I found human feces, on the carpet, in the closet of one of my investment homes. Jim
Other than people living in the basement.
While cleaning out an attic of one property I found boxes of complete loan packs complete with all pertinent personal info including SSN #'s. Previous tenent must have been a retired broker.
I properly disposed of the confidential docs.
Can you imagine what a less ethical person might have done?
College students are the best for leaving good stuff behind -- generally anything that is too heavy or won't fit into their car. Besides, it was all paid for by mom and dad.
Just a short list of what I've found and sold: multiple color televisions, printers, surround sound speaker system, tuner, radios, complete set of golf clubs and bag, nice clothes, futon, assorted furniture, appliances, MONEY, dope (no I didn't sell that, just threw it out!), cell phones, weight set and bench, music CDs, and the list goes on.
These pampered spoiled entitled little brats have no clue. And in this economy are probably all moving back home! Have fun, mom and dad!
The first house we ever flipped the people moved out without their stuff. They left everything INCLUDING the 1970's PORN & the soundtrack on 8 track.....that was in 2000. Lynard Skynard anyone?
...6 dumpsters full of CRAP.
and the bones of a small lizard...
I looked at a foreclosure over the summer that actually had MUSHROOMS growing out of the carpet!! That was a complete surprise....I wonder what kind they were?
As of recently I found a cat inside of the dishwasher (alive), I found another cat at a different property in a bag under the back porch (dead). I have collected new lawn mowers, weed eaters, power tools, bicycles, etc.
These bonuses are great! (except for the cats)
