If we just keep throwing bad money at worse money, why has Wall Street been rallying?
Am I missing something?
I know I have been really busy the last few weeks working on my rehabs, but 1200 points?

I guess because, the obama administration has been a little bit more positive than negative about the economy and how to fix it. The only problem is I fear the administration wants more government control over everything. So this might be short term rally and not long term.
The stock market has been hitting constant lows so people are realizing the buying opportunities. 1200 points seems pretty great but the Dow will be stay pretty much stagnant throughout the rest of the year, hovering around 7k to 8k. I don't see it going any lower or higher. I would take profits after each day the DOW ends on a high note. Then repeat. That is my opinion.
They're using taxpayer dollars to buy stocks after using legislation to devalue it. It's easy to buy with someone else's money at a devalued price you've created. The payoff comes when you artificially raise the market and sell it off.
Holy cow....I just got what they're up to. I kept the thought in the back of my mind that the current administration is filled with Wall Street lobbbyists...and it just hit me. They're turning the federal government into the largest mutual fund in existence, funded with taxpayer dollars, underwritten by the federal reserve and given the legislative power to take over or shut down the competition. This could potentially replace social security with a Federal 401k..... It would be one way to keep that bankrupt fund afloat - ERISA it like the private sector did with pensions 40 years ago....
The equities markets seem to becoming unmoored from economic reality.
The Stock Research Portal asks how could "the failure of either Chrysler or GM could be other than negative for the US dollar"? Conclusion: "The people who write about these things must think in terms of รข"hour to hour,' may not know who Warren Buffett is, and certainly don't understand his investment philosophy."
