I'm feeling bad for the guy. Lets at least give him a couple years in office to see where all this leads.

Got to admit I don't like where it's going though.

No sorry but the guy should be kicked out of office right now. He's going to turn this country into a socialistic dictatorship and I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN.

Real Estate Investor · Hurst, Texas

I didn't join this forum to argue politics, but I can't let this go. In two years, the United States WILL be a socialist country if we let things keep going the way they are going. Why do you think they are in such a rush to push their policies through on the fast track? Not to benefit the American people or our economy! They want to control each and every one of us as a whole. They want their policies passed before people actually have time to figure out how damaging their idealogy is to our freedom and liberty. If they can get it done fast before the people figure out what's going on, it's too late to change anything. Don't get caught up in the manipulation and the lies!

Real Estate Investor · Las Vegas, Nevada

In 2010 1/3 of the Senate and the entire House of Representatives is up for reelection. They are pushing all of this stuff through now because it won't happen next year. The Dems will lose seats in the next election, it's just a question of how many. The more they lose the harder it is to push their agenda through.

What does The Chose One have in common with God?

Answer: The Chosen One doesn't have a birth certificate either!!!

just wondering if you all bashed the last dictator as much?

when i get some free time, i'll be sure to check the history of the forums. hoping to be surprised!

I will give your President the same respect you gave mine.

Banker · Tampa Area, Florida

hmm, wow debbie, it appears to me that your response was insinuating that i did not view george bush as my president and that you don't view barack obama as yours, am i correct?

i'm glad that you make such radical statements against me since you know me so well.

fwiw, george bush was just as much my president as he was yours. and love it or hate it, the same goes for barack obama and YOU!

maybe it's just me, but i find it as unamerican to not atleast respect the leader of the country. just about unamerican as french toast was after 9/11.

p.s.- since you know me so well, can you please tell me where i put my earbuds for my iphone? i can't seem to find them anywhere.

Real Estate Investor · Studio City, California

It's amazing to me how you all bashing Obama who's actually trying to do something that should have been done long time ago, There is no one word about eight years of disastrous mismanagement by W's administration that brought us this mess. OH NO! He's going to take our money and our guns!!! What we're gonna do? Wah Wah Wah...
You don't even give a guy a year, let alone six month. Let me remind you that election happens every four years (Or two years for the congress) the pendulum moved in one direction and it can easily move to the other.

Real Estate Investor · Indiana, Indiana

God offers you heaven, not four years of hell.

lets not start bashing each other..

This was intended for a bit of humor,,,

lighten up a bit please...

As much as I hate to admit it, he is my president because I live in the U.S. I just wish he would slow down and let us come to some bipartisan agreements, like he promised! You've got to admit, Bush was more of a moderate and worked more bipartisan than what we have now. I honestly don't think Bush was conservative enough! He did keep our country safe after 9/11 and I thank him for that. And, his tax reforms help a lot of people. So, truce! Let's all work together to make this the United States of America and live by the Constitution our founding fathers wrote so many years ago. They put a lot of thought into the Constitution. It is not a living, breathing document that can be changed on a whim!

BTW - That sure is a cute baby pic in your avatar. Yours? Just wanting to get to know you. Seriously.

P.S. Did you look under the sofa for your earbuds? I have two mischievous kittens and everything I'm looking for ends up under the sofa. They're my 6 year old daughter's kittens, NOT MINE!

I 2nd that motion!

It's amazing how quickly these topics get waaaay out of control with opinions. Hopefully some of you put that much passion into your real estate investing, maybe you'd cash some more checks.

btw, I vote for MikeOH's response as the best one so far!

debbie-

truce! socially, i think bush was way too conservative. fiscally, i would say he was more moderate. when it comes to certain social issues, i am very liberal and when it comes to fiscal policy, i am far more moderate. i have yet to find a candidate that i agree with 100% (yet have found many, many people disagree with my beliefs). oh well. we shall see what happens! i don't vote by party affiliation, so if i'm not in agreeance with where we are in 4 years, then i will vote differently.

yup, thats my baby mackenzie. she is a little over 6 mos now! i can't believe how fast she has grown! time sure has flown by thus far. it's amazing how everyday its something new. one day she needs held up, the next she does it all on her own....one day she can't roll over, the next you find her in her crib sleeping on her stomach. it's craziness! i love every moment of it!

i did end up finding my earbuds! i asked my wife where they were (after about 2 hours of looking) and she said they were IN THE BREADBOX. i can see how that is a logical place to store them....i have 2 cats (and 2 dogs) and i know they didn't put them there...nor did i. that only leaves my wife and mackenzie. seeing how kenzie can't walk, i think i know who did it.....

God does'nt need Oprah's endorsement.

Side note:
Me and the wife was watching the T.V. show "Still Standing", last night. Judy's sister Linda says to Linda,

"Hooray! we've got tickets to go to Oprah tomorrow, and I'm gonna wear the pants she's advertising....I'm gonna wear the blouse and bra that she advertises...yeap, thanx to Oprah, I'm my own woman".

Yea thanx Oprah......lol

Oh there is so much I want to say to you but I don't think Josh or the mods want to spend time editing my post so I will refrain from any more comments and just give you this as my way of expressing my opinion based on yours:

If you guys can't be nice to one another, we'll just not allow political discussion.

I've seriously contemplated barring the topic from the site, as it ALWAYS leads to problems.

The last thing I want to see while fighting the flu is this bit of drama.

So, do me a favor and knock it off.

------

One question: Can you guys manage to talk politics without being nasty to one another?
